COMO Hotel Finds New Home in the Heart of France’s Wine Region

Modern resort facilities find a new home in the heart of France’s world-famous wine region. Luxury hotel chain COMO Group is bringing a new boutique hotel to the heart of Burgundy, one of the world’s most prestigious wine regions.

COMO Hotels and Resorts, which already includes 14 international properties, made the announcement in September saying it is bringing “its contemporary flair to the sought-after Côte-d’Or region, providing unparalleled access to some of the most famous Grand Cru vineyards.”

The well-established luxury hotel chain, known for its elegant accommodation and deluxe spa experiences, already has locations in Bali, the Maldives, Bhutan, Thailand and Perth Australia.

Multiple hotels in its current portfolio are also in Europe – two city hotels in London and a resort in Tuscany.

In partnership with OLMA Luxury Holdings, COMO Group looks to take over the renowned Hotel Le Montrachet, in Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy. The stunning heritage location sits beside the village’s charming city square – a perfect contrast to the envisioned modern luxury hotel.

To bring its state-of-the-art style to life, COMO will once again utilize the skills of esteemed designer Paola Navone. The Italian architect, who also designed COMO Castello Del Nero in Tuscany, is known for her contemporary touches and futuristic influences – a wonderful complement to the historic 18th-century property.

The wonderful four heritage buildings of Hotel Le Montrachet consisting of 31 rooms and suites will be converted into luxury sanctuaries starting with Villa Christine. The next phase will introduce a COMO Shambhala Retreat, unlike anything else in France.

The new COMO Le Montrachet will feature the same high-end cuisine focus COMO is renowned for around the world. Guests can expect an exquisite fine-dining experience and an unrivaled selection of the finest wines from the local Burgundy vineyards. The new luxury COMO Hotel is poised to offer the highest level of luxury accommodation in a stunningly beautiful setting.

And Olivier Jolivet, CEO of the COMO Group, says this is just the beginning of its plan for future locations.

This announcement underlines our strategy to develop pioneering properties in new destinations. Besides Europe, we will also add a new luxury resort in the South Pacific to the portfolio next year.
